I've known Doug for a long time. And I've been involved in various aspects of his launch of the Mark of a Leader program. So you could say I know the program inside and out. But this book surprised me. With both its honesty and it's relentless pursuit of what leadership means. For each of us. But it doesn't hand it to you on a silver platter. It motivates you to tell your own story. Amazing book. I recommend it highly.

I recently had the good fortune to bump into Doug and his family at local restaurant. It had been over 20 years and it was great to reconnect and catch up. He told me about "The Mark of a Leader" and when we next got together he had just received the first copies of his new book. Fortunately he had some in his car and I bought one on the spot. I am here to tell you that I loved the stories and Doug's down to earth manner. His stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things are thought provoking and challenge the reader to relate them to his or her own circumstance. It's a great book from a great storyteller.
